Mr. & Mrs. Wilkins

So I figured it's about time to update the Blog-since I already got our marriage license- So it is really official, I AM MRS. WILKINS! It's SO fun to have a husband, someone to be with and to talk to. I love it! and of Course I love my Husband! A LOT!

So here's what happened the the last few weeks.

Erik flew up late Thursday night- the 25th, and we hung out Friday morning, we went shopping to get Erik some new clothes, and just had fun being a couple. That afternoon while Erik took a nap, I got my hair done and we went to the temple and had our wedding pictures done.

Look and the clouds in the back, It was so pretty

This is our favorite picture, Madalyn and Neil had it framed and then Printed the Proclamation to the World on velum and had that laid over the picture. It's So neat, and we thank Neil and Maddie for it!

It had rained almost everyday in June and I was STRESSED that it would be horrible weather. Friday night, when we were talking pictures it was just starting to rain but nothing like it had been. We got pictures done and headed back to my parents house where there was a BBQ for Erik's family that had traveled from out of town. Just as we were finishing, it started to rain, and RAIN HARD!!!!!

Saturday morning was an early morning- Erik and I had to be at the temple at 8am. So I was up by 6 to get my hair fixed and to get ready. It was a whirlwind getting ready and getting to the temple. I remember just as we were walking into the temple, I took a deep breath, we were there and doing this!!! and oh I was ready!!!

One more WEEK!

I still can't believe that a week from today I'll be

Mrs. Wilkins
It's going to be so great!

So last Friday my wonderful parents packed up almost all of my possessions and headed down south.
We met Erik in St. George after he took a half day off and came up. We signed our life away to each other and got our Marriage license, so it's official, we're getting married!!!!!
We got into Vegas Friday night, Erik's Parents had a VERY nice dinner ready for us and it was great!
Saturday morning, we headed over to our new home to move my things in and get set up, and by 12 we were done. It's great having such an amazing future husband, and brother-in-law when you try and move a heavy bedroom set up six flights of stairs. My dad sacrificed his back in moving my things too. So soon there will be pictures of the house, when it gets cleaned up and finished being painted!

Saturday night however, was the MOST important day of my life-as a single person. Saturday night, June 13th, we headed to the Las Vegas Temple, so I could receive my own endowment. It was amazing, and being there with some of my family, and Erik's was just special. Erik was there squeezing my hand and making sure I knew he loved me. It was really special. Erik went through the temple for the first time that Tuesday before, it was a PERFECT night.

My parents got some pictures snapped in the atrium after the session. So here they are!

I can't wait to kneel across the alter from him, look him in the eyes and promise him that I'm his wife for eternity! It'll be the best day in OUR lives! I can't wait!

A little too long...

Thanks to Niki, I've realized that I need to update this more! I've missed quite a few excited moments!
First off, Neil Graduated May 2nd From SUU with a bachelors in Science. So I headed down to Vegas for a few days before to get wedding things done with Erik's family, and then the plan was I was supposed to pick Erik up from work Friday and head up to meet my family in St. George/Cedar because it was Neil's Birthday. Well I got to Erik's work Friday afternoon... sicker than sick!!! I had gotten a bug and I was miserable. We tried to head to St. George and only got a few miles out of town before we had to stop so I wouldn't lose my lunch in the car. it was miserable! So we ended up headed back to his house, and I crashed the rest of the day. He was SO GREAT and took care of me! He's going to be an amazing husband!!! :)
Saturday morning, we got up UBER early, and headed up to St. George. Ran into the condo so we could shower and change, and then met up with the family in Cedar. Neil's Graduation was actually pretty good. It wasn't too long. Here are some pics from Graduation!

That's the Hjorth Side, my parents, Madalyn (sis-in-law) and myself and Erik at the end.

Neil and Wife Madalyn

Here is the Family!!! it's crazy how we've grown and here we are, with our spouse's! SO much fun!

So we spent the rest of the weekend at the Condo in St. George, getting burnt in my case, Erik just got a nice tan! We had a great time and we're sad that the trips to St. George is going to be a bit less frequent, since Neil and Maddie now live in Nebraska! So excited for them, but we'll miss having them close.

Memorial day weekend Erik was able to come up and spend some time, so we went on a date and had so much fun! I don't have any pics so I'm sorry, but we had a blast and got more wedding planning done! YAY!

A couple of weeks ago, Mom and I went and took some bridals- So I've picked a few to post!

Me Jumping for Joy! I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!

Anyways, So I'm excited to marry my best friend in just of 3 weeks! I can't wait! The planning is coming along and things are going fairly smoothly thanks to my mom, and I'm glad she's out of school for the summer now and can help on my to do list!

One Terrific Weekend!

Last Monday, a week ago, Erik decided since he had a credit flight with Delta that he'd come up for the weekend. So late Friday night I zoomed up to the airport to pick up my Husband to be.

I had to work all day on Saturday, so he dropped me off at the store so he could have my car. After a full day of driving around, he ended up back to the store, and all of us kiddo's from the store headed up to Salt Lake to enjoy the fun! So we went to dinner at the Pie, it was Pretty great, the company was the best though! We sat there and goofed off the whole time!!!
Here is us at dinner.

We had SO much fun, and the weekend came to an end way to fast!

Braggin' a bit

So I have to get it out there... My soon to be husband is GREAT! He's competing for Top Apprientace right now. Which is a HUGE title to have. He just had a mid term that was a pass or get kicked out of the program. Lets just say, out of 40 people, 10 got kicked out this week.

I'm happy to report that my future hubby got a 90 on the mid term. Yup, you heard me right, 90! so over all in the class he has a 95%. He felt pretty good about the test. He thought he could do a bit better. But he'll settle with a 95% for the class. So that's I think the news for us so far. :)

Leaving on a Jet Plane!

I had the opportunity last weekend to jump on an airplane and jet to Vegas. It was Erik's Great Grandmothers funeral. She was 95 and was an amazing woman. She was always so sweet to me and so excited to know I was in town. So I arrived in Vegas late Friday night, got up early Saturday and headed to the church to get it all set up and ready. The funeral was shortly after that. It was an amazing service and was well attended. A lot of family was there from across the country to support and uplift. I met a lot of family I hadn't yet been introduced to. It truly was an amazing service.

After the funeral was cleaned up, Erik and I had some time to just be us. We took that time and when bowling, something we haven't done since our first week of dating. So I had to snap a picture to let everyone know that I WON!!!

OK, so really he was just playing around, trying to do tricks, where as I was actually playing. but still, I won! :)

Then later that night we went to dinner with Erik's brother who is just older than him. Scott. Scott is the one we're moving in to his house for a little while until we get settled into married life. Dinner was really nice, and fun, we laughed a lot. It was great getting to know Scott better. He is an amazing man.

Then Sunday Erik and I tried to sleep in, it didn't work too well. So we got up and took the Puppy for a walk. We ended up at his Grandma's House, who we talked to for a few hours, she is a hero of mine. I love Grandma Pink (she used to die her hair red, then it'd fade to pink, hence the name.) We headed back home and watched conference and made food. Lounged around and ate food. Then I had to get all packed and ready to go. :( It was a fun full weekend and I came home exhausted but it was still really nice to see Erik and spend time with him!

I can't wait to marry my best friend in 81 days! Time is flying by and I'm just plugging along getting everything ready. I'm glad we waited the 6 months from when we got engaged. I would be stressing out so much right now, but I'm calm, everything is fine, and slowly but surely we will have an amazing wedding in 81 days!

Thanks to all! I love ya!

A day to enjoy

So I figured it's about time to update a little more on this lovely blog!
The middle of March my work took us all to the military ball! Erik was able to come up and so we had a wonderful day full of time with my family (Neil and Madalyn were driving through on there way to Nebraska) and getting wedding planning taking care of. Then we met the group at Temple Square and ate at the Garden in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was a blast and so much fun to run into some old friends and the Ball.

Last week we learned taht Erik's Great-Grandma that was 95 past away. So I'm jumping on a jet tomorrow night to attend her funeral in Vegas this weekend. I'm excited to be running away and seeing the family, but I sure wish I could stay longer!

I think that's all my updates as of now, I'm just pluggin' along, I finished all the wedding announcements last night, Thanks to my mom who was great and helping me finish them by my goal! So next is just... well... I have a little break from planning for a bit, we're at 86 days and counting! :)

Day One

So here is the First Blog! I’m so excited to start the adventure of Blogging, and I have to say it’s all Christy’s fault! Thanks Chris! By the way it was so much fun to see you and the Kids! (and Blake ;) ) I sure do miss you guys living around here!
Anyways, back to my start of Blogging. So I should just start with our story. In 96 days I'm going to Marry my Best Friend!

So this is a good time to start with our story. Erik and I met through Katilyn who grew up down the street from Erik. From the beginning we just talked, and became close friends, and that’s as much as it was. Then after he finally ended his 2 year relationship with someone else, we gave us a shot. And heck, we liked each other, even after one of the WORST dates I’ve ever been on, and he feels the same. We just clicked and have been together since. Well almost, we did have our 4 month sabbatical as he calls it, and that separation has been the best thing! So that’s where we’re at. I get to be sealed to my best friend for eternity! I can’t wait!
